The roads
This event avoids traffic and main roads as much as possible but remains on sealed roads.
Route: Cowan, Brooklyn, Yarramalong, up Bumble Hill, to lunch at The Laguna Trading Post. After lunch, Yango Creek Road (unsealed section with sealed alternative) to Wollombi village.
Along the way, before and after lunch, we will drop into numerous vineyards to see sculptures at the festival. Then we return home in mid/late afternoon. Route Notes will be provided.
Lunch - numbers are limited
Lunch for 24 people has been booked at the Laguna Trading Post (where we ate on the 2019 Mountain Rally). Lunch will be a limited menu with the cost paid in advance to the Club (probably about $30 per head, yet to be confirmed) along with a separate Club event fee (it is an official VSCCA event).
The rally numbers are unrestricted but, at the moment, lunch is restricted to 24 people due to Covid restrictions.
Accommodation - You will need to book your own.
As this is a day event, the VSCCA is not organising accommodation. If you want to make a weekend of it, there is free camping at the Wollombi pub, or numerous B&Bs all over the valley.
