At the Lake Lyell Recreation Park camp ground on the Friday afternoon. We will have the billy boiling.

Activities

The roads around the area are beautiful and quiet. Some local roads are unsealed, but there are plenty of sealed alternatives.

The event is not rigidly organised so we can drive to the conditions, with activities to interest all including:

• Country Motoring: Excellent country roads to O'Connell, Portland, Sofala, Rydal, Hartley.

• Historic industrial sites: Lithgow Small Arms Factory (Lithgow), Old Blast Furnace (Lithgow). Railway viaducts (Farmers Creek).

• Historic houses: Eskbank (Lithgow). Miss Traill’s House (Bathurst). Highfield Gardens (Oberon). Hartley Historic Village.

• Bushwalking, fishing & water skiing (bring your own license and boat).

The event is in the school holidays to encourage the participation of all ages. Dogs are welcome at the camp ground. Cooking will be outdoors on open fires. Excellent trailer parking.

Accommodation

The VSCCA has 9 adjacent un-powered sites. These are sites #53 to #61 on the Lake Lyell Recreation Park site map (link: Lake Lyell ). All those interested should contact Phil (not Lake Lyell) to reserve one of those sites. Cost will be your camping site fee ($54 for the 2 nights) and a Club fee ($20) - all payable to the VSCCA.

There are also powered sites and a cabin (sleeps 8 people) but these have not been booked. There are good facilities but no shop, so you will have to bring all your supplies.  Every site has a fire pit. Firewood can be purchased from the office ($25 per bag), but you can bring your own too. Bring $1 coins for the showers.

Payment

• $74.00 payable to VSCCA prior to event. (includes VSCCA Club entry fee $20 and the Lake Lyell Recreation Area camp site fee $27 per night.)

• ·Payment by EFT into the VSCCA account prior to the event would be appreciated. Identify payment with “BM2022 + your name”. EFT Details: Vintage Sports Car Club of Australia. BSB 082-443 Account 166670215. Alternatively, pay Phil at the campground.
