National Heritage Motor Day - CANCELLED

National Motoring Heritage Day - CANCELLED

The National Trust of Australia has announced it will cancel the Australian Heritage Festival for 2020.

The World Health Organization has announced that COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is a pandemic. The virus is contagious between people and of particular risk to people with existing medical conditions, people with reduced immunity and people of advanced age.

The National Trust is a community organisation and we consider the health, wellbeing and safety of the community to be the utmost priority. There are members of the community at great risk from COVID-19, and public gatherings and events provide an opportunity for this virus to spread.

It is with a heavy heart that we have taken the decision to cancel the Australian Heritage Festival for 2020. The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Our Heritage for the Future’ – and we look forward to celebrating our wonderful heritage across Australia with you in the future.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors and supporters, and event organisers across the country for registering your events this year. We don’t have a festival without you and we recognise all the effort and time dedicated to creating opportunities for people to come together and appreciate heritage. Our National Trust festival coordinators will be in contact with you directly in the coming days.

We also thank the community for their continued love of heritage.

We will celebrate our heritage for the future in 2021.

Please stay safe and healthy.

From the National Trust of Australia.
