FISH AND CHIPS RUN TO PATONGA

MEET: 10.15AM at Cowan Rest Area and Truck Stop (the old Toll Plaza heading north).
START: 10.30AM
DESTINATION: Patonga Beach (situated between Brisbane Waters National Park and the Hawkesbury River).
ROUTE: Via the Old Pacific Highway (B83) via Mooney Mooney Bridge and Mt Ettalong Drive to Patonga Beach.

LUNCH: The intention is to get fish & chips from the Kiosk and picnic on the beach. However, if the weather is not amenable we can eat in the restaurant of The Boathouse Hotel next door. This is recently renovated and truly lovely. Meals are Sydney prices. Kids menu too.
Bring your cozie if you want to swim.
RETURN: Whenever and by whatever route you choose.
If you have a National Parks Pass, travelling via Kur-ring-gai Chase National Park and Bobbin Head is recommended - but allow extra time. $12 entry fee if no pass.
Route notes will be available, although it is not a navigational challenge. It's just a lovely drive to a nice place with good food and friends.
